I was driving to denver for the stockshow... looked down to my map and when i looked up i was heading towards the metal beams on side of road. I grabbed my wheel and my tail started sliding out. Tried to recorrect myself and went off the road while turning the other way. I rolled quite a few times, but i was not knocked out. I was ejected from my vehicle due to no seatbelt. I had only taken it off for a bit because i had a stomach ache and couldnt deal with it on me at that moment. i realize i should have kept it on. I did get thrown through a fence because of it. Since then, i have gone through surgery on my back. i broke my back at t11 and t12, snapped in half but did not sever my cord. Very lucky part!! I have 26 staples holding my back shut, also 2 rods and 7 screws. I have some wounds on my legs which i got stitches and just some bruising on my body. I bruised my right lung and my ribs some, but can still breathe fine. Good news, I can feel some pressure in my thighs and i hope as swelling goes down the feeling will continue. This in itself is beyond what i was told i could do so it is a miracle! I will not give up because i know i can gain the feeling back with your support and prayers! Faith + God= Miracles so please continue to pray for my and my legs!!!!! Thank you for the flowers, stuffed animals, cards and gifts i continue to recieve! They mean a lot and i appreciate every single one of them! I will be flying out of Wyoming first of next week sometime depending on weather to a rehab facility in Provo. I read all my messages on facebook and myspace but i'm sorry i dont get back to every single one...just know i love reading them and they help me in more ways than you all know. Thanks again and pray for my legs!
Love you all very much

Amberley, I am sorry to hear about your accident and pray that you continue to show improvements with your legs.
ReplyDeleteAmberley, I heard about your story on Pinterest and immediately looked you up. I don't know if you still get notifications from this blog, but I really think you should continue blogging. I would love to hear more of how you make it work on a day to day basis. You are such an inspiration!
